This course introduces students to product design, 3D modelling and prototyping using Autodesk Fusion 360. Students begin by identifying a real-world problem, understanding the target user.
Throughout the course, students research user needs, take accurate measurements, prepare dimensioned sketches and build a functional 3D model. They then prepare their design for 3D printing, assemble and test the prototype, collect feedback and improve the product based on evidence.
The course develops technical modelling skills alongside creativity, problem-solving, entrepreneurship, communication and user-centered design.
