This introductory robotics and creative technology course combines LEGO WeDo 2.0 robotics and Makey Makey interactive projects to help students explore the foundations of engineering, coding, and invention. Through 8 guided WeDo lessons, students will build and program moving robots while developing skills in problem-solving, sequencing, computational thinking, and understanding how motors and sensors allow robots to interact with their environment. In 3 Makey Makey lessons, students will discover the connection between technology and creativity by designing interactive projects that transform everyday objects into controllers and inputs. Throughout the course, students will learn through hands-on exploration, teamwork, testing, and improvement, building confidence as young creators who can use technology to design and bring their ideas to life.
