Overview

This Grade 8 Artificial Intelligence course introduces students to the main concepts, abilities, and real-life applications of AI. Students learn how AI systems use data, training examples, patterns, models, and predictions to produce results. The course develops practical skills in using chatbots, writing effective prompts, and creating and editing images with artificial intelligence. Students also explore how AI can support language, learning, creativity, project planning, and problem-solving. They are introduced to AI agents as digital assistants that can plan and complete connected tasks under human supervision. Throughout the course, students learn to verify information, recognise bias, protect privacy, and use AI safely, ethically, and responsibly.
