Overview

This course builds on students’ foundational micro:bit skills by introducing them to sensors, data collection, and interactive smart systems. Students learn how technology can detect changes in the environment and respond through programmed actions using inputs, outputs, and decision-making. Through hands-on projects, students explore light sensors, touch sensors, motion detection, distance measurement, and automated systems while developing computational thinking skills such as problem-solving, testing, debugging, and design improvement. By creating projects such as smart alarms, automatic lighting systems, and sensor-based solutions, students learn how to connect programming with real-world applications and develop their ability to design, build, and improve smart technology solutions.
